Fished the "chutes area" from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM, best day ever flyfishing for steelheads. There were literally hundreds off fresh fish in the stream today. Landed 20+, had at least five break my tippet and missed many, many more. The largest being 8#, most were 6#-7# and 25-28 inches long. They were hitting any color egg pattern sized #12-#14 (scrambled eggs, blooddots etc.) This was only the third time ever that I've fished for steelhead! Also, fished Coolspring Creek on Thanksgiving Day and caught a couple of rainbows around 9 inches long. It is just fun catching fish regardless of size!
