Really wasn't fishing, just stopped on my way home from work at Hope's Bridge about 9:15pm. I saw quite a few Yellow Drakes(12 or so) coming off in the 10 minutes I was there. Saw/heard some fish rise despite the high water, tough to tell whether they were trout or not. Water was high but I couldn't determine color since it was so late. I had spent the day in the DuBois and Altoona/Tyrone areas and was very surprised in the differences in water conditions. The streams in that area are in good shape for this time of year while ours are high and off color. I guess the rain has been very scattered. |
