Visited delayed harvest section this evening to check stream conditions. Water temperature was 68 degrees Fahrenheit; gin clear & slightly below normal conditions. Observed a hatch (caddis) around 8:15 PM. Trout were enjoying a feast. Only one fisherman was on the stream; he had caught three browns & one rainbow.
As my father used to say ....... when the dogwoods are in bloom it's time for 'dry flys'. Well guys ..... the dogwoods are in bloom. |
