| The Report |
The sun was bright but the water was COLD. Started to fish the Folley's End area and managed to roll two fish. Conditions didn't allow for spotting fish in the deeper runs and holes and this is where the fish were holding. Our group (3) managed 7 hookups and one fish. Fished the lower Elk in Girard and it was too cloudy for fly fishing.
Conneaut Creek in Ohio should clear within the next 3 days and the runs will be just getting good there. The Manistee strain is, in general, a larger fish. This should be some terrific fishing if the weather holds.
